A-Team West Town, Guyana

After two days of sailing we arrived on Georgetown, Guyana. It’s a place quite forgotten by the rest of the world. A country where different beliefs have great spiritual: Buddhism, Hinduism, Islamism, Christians, etc.I had the privilege to serve working with a church in West Bank at 40 minutes from the ship. It was an amazing experience. We spent a week with seven people from Switzerland, Guatemala, Barbados, Jamaica, England, USA and Argentina. Together with Pastor Mark we organized an event for the children and youth. The days before we went out to distribute literature, share the gospel and announce the meeting in the neighborhood near the temple.  The great day came. We performed some dramas, shared about the ship and invited them to follow Jesus. Many people and entire families asked for prayer. It’s a very sensible town to the spiritual things but there are many other choices and they easily go astray. The last day we were part of a beautiful encounter. In a very problematic neighborhood, 11 churches get together for a common service on the street. They celebrate, pray and worship the Lord in the open air and the best of all is that they do it TOGETHER. This brought a great blessing in the area. Before you couldn’t even walk around there because the people were armed and there were assaults continually. There we also did some dramas and one of the girls preached. I came back renewed, very tired physically but full of seeing how God worked in that place.
